Security Translation‎

ADMT tool’s Security Transition Wizard to translate security (SID mapping) between existing system and new (migrated) system so that users can seamlessly access existing resources between systems. Open ADMT tools from AD.

Click Select computers from domain, and then click Next. On the Computer Selection page, click Add to select the computers for which you want to translate security, click OK, and then click Next.

Select Add from below if you plan to have  co-existence and  progressive migration of resources, when done repeat process again with Remove to cleanup. Note: You need to re-ACL the resources before you remove the sIDHistory.

When you are done with the security translation above and now it is time to copy data in the new system with keeping NTFS permission.  May use xcopy,  Rich copy or Robocopy
