Rogue DHCP server

Unable to access ESX host using vClient from Windows 8

When we try to connect ESX host (eg. v4.1) using latest vSphere Client from Windows 8 workstation; we get following update message.

But during installations it shows error message that “This product can only be installed on Windows XP SP2 and above”

Follow workaround appears to be working connecting ESX server host using vSphere Client from Windows 8 workstation.

Click “Save the installer” button and save the file (VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-345043-v4.1.exe) on your desktop.

Right click VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-345043-v4.1.exe and choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab, and check the option “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and pick Windows 7 from the list. Click OK to save the setting. Now double clicks on “VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-345043-v4.1.exe” to complete the installation.

When installation is completed, you can use latest VMware vSphere Client to login on either ESX-4.1 or ESX-5.1 host respectively.

I have tested on OS Name: Microsoft Windows 8 Pro. OS Version: 6.2.9200 N/A Build 9200
